Having been given the charge of directorship on 19th June 2006, and this being the fifth year of my directorship in BDSSS, it gives me great pleasure and an opportunity to render my wholehearted thanks to each one who has been part of the social concerns and development through the Social Apostolate in fostering BDSSS as an instrument for the promotion of human dignity of the poor and the marginalized through an empowerment process.
The Governing Body members, the General Body members, the funding partners both national and international, the Government agencies/departments/officials, taluka and gram panchayath members, other like-minded NGOs (Alliance for Integral Social Action - AISA), consortium project partners, stakeholders, auditors, press and media personnel, resource persons, common folk and well-wishers, BDSSS staff and many other volunteers and persons, known and unknown, familiar and unfamiliar, youth and elderly, explicitly and implicitly, in a little deed and in a great deed, uniquely and beyond measure have all been a part of the journey of the Social Apostolate in rendering effective and fruitful service to humanity. Moreover the timely support and help, concern and understanding, suggestions and guidance of all the facilitators and collaborators have been an encouraging and motivating factor in the implementation and fulfillment of various activities, projects, programmes and services undertaken towards social concerns and development. Reminding ourselves the words of Mother Theresa, "In this life we cannot do great things. We can only do small things with great love", let us continue to render our valuable services and contribution in whatever way possible in reaching out to the needs of the human society...
